Safety Gears in general

The information on the safety gear can be seen in the respective type examination certificate. Overall dimensions, nominal speed, catching direction as well as rail design and rail surface are necessary for the selection of the safety gear. The safety gear can be used as a simple pair, tandem or triple.

Overall dimensions of the system consisting of payload Q, car weight P (including cabin weight), weight of the lower ropes U, nominal speed v, catching direction as well as the rail design and rail surface are relevant for the inquiry / order.

The safety gear can be attached directly to the lower or upper traverse. If it is a modernization, we offer various adaptation options. If the safety distance from the shaft pit is not sufficient, the safety gear (depending on the safety dimensions) can be attached to the upper crossbar.

Please contact us if you could not find a suitable safety gear. We will work out a solution with you if possible.

The appropriate rail head thicknesses depend on the type of safety gear. RF0001 16mm; RF0002 9-10mm; SG1D-1 and SG2D-1 5-16mm; BF2D-1, BF2D-2 9-30mm

Safety Gears BF series

The safety gear is attached to the crossbar using the outer casing supplied. Depending on the case, adapter plates can also be used. The distance between the safety gear and the rail head must be observed. If a fan device is supplied for mounting on the upper crossbar, it cannot be mounted on the lower crossbar and vice versa. When turning the safety gear, the safety catch would have wrong settings up and down.

It must be ensured that the distance between the safety gear (cast housing) and the rail head is 7.5 mm. This results in a distance of 10mm from the outer housing of the safety gear on the track side to the rail head.

The minimum running surface width of the rail should be 19mm.

The capture shafts are connecting shafts between the capture chambers and are supplied in a straight and cranked version. A cranked capture shaft is required if the landing buffer collides with the capture shaft. Axially rotatable fan shafts are used with an internal dimension from 1600mm.

The regular delivery date is 4 calendar weeks.
In urgent cases, a shorter delivery time is usually possible at an additional charge after prior agreement. Please contact the sales office

The standard shipping is done by parcel service or with the house forwarding
Safety gear is generally dispatched by a freight forwarder
For particularly urgent orders, express delivery is possible at an additional cost.

Delivery / Damage in transit

Please check the contents of the shipment for damage and completeness of the goods
In the case of damaged goods or incomplete delivery, please contact us and send a description of the damage, if possible with pictures, to sales@slc-liftco.com
We take care of a replacement as soon as possible and the claims settlement with the transport service provider.

Complaints / Return Shipment

To process the return of goods, we require the order number and the item number as well as the reason for the return
If possible, please send us this information in advance by email to

After the check has been carried out, you will receive a credit minus the return costs

Custom-made products and all special procurements for which we have no other use and for which the manufacturer refuses to take them back are excluded from the return

In the event of missing parts, we will arrange for a free subsequent delivery as soon as possible
In the case of parts reported as defective, we will first arrange for a replacement delivery, which is subject to a charge, which will become free of charge after the returned goods have been returned and checked by a credit note if the complaint is justified
This does not apply to defects due to damage or defects for which we are not responsible, for example in the case of incorrect assembly or improper handling on the construction site (see General Terms and Conditions Item VIII. Liability). In these cases, you will receive a credit for the returned goods minus the costs incurred
